Social entrepreneur and supporter of regional food systems, Pete Russell founded Ooooby. Working for a multimillion dollar food firm, Pete saw firsthand the negative consequences of globalized food and the increasing need for local alternatives. This experience inspired Pete to dedicate himself to the local food industry. Inspired by his love for developing intelligent systems for food sales and logistics, he founded Out of our own backyards (Ooooby), a local food firm that distributes weekly to hundreds of Auckland doorsteps.
