IIA Partners with Google Africa and East Africa Institute of Welding, offers Digital training to 75 graduate welders

At Invest In Africa (IIA), we believe that pooling resources and sharing knowledge is an important step towards overcoming the challenges of doing business in Africa. Invest in Africa partnered with Google Africa and the East African Institute of Welding (EAIW) to conduct a Digital Skills Literacy training session at EAIW's grounds in Ruiru.

In attendance were 75 youth welders drawn across different counties in Kenya - Turkana, West Pokot, Meru, Garissa, Samburu, Nairobi, Wajir, Kapenguaria, Murang' a and, Baringo.

The event was aimed at training welding graduates on digital marketing skills that will help them to create income through getting leads for their welding businesses. Armed with these skills, the trainees will be able to link their technical skills with the digital skills to become more employable. The goal is to ensure they will be able to source out and understand opportunities in the Oil & Gas and manufacturing industries.
