Safaricom shall engage selected partners to supply a Fiber Network Planning, Inventory Management and Monitoring Solution whose purpose is to provide to the business an efficient tool that centrally manages and documents the rapidly expanding fiber network by keeping an inventory. The right tool should have the following features and capabilities:

Fibre Network Planning, Inventory Management & Monitoring

a) Show Inside Plant (ISP) network information b)

Show Outside Plant (OSP) network information

c) Automated design process for both ISP and OSP

d) Reporting – Projects & Network Inventory

e) Fiber monitoring

f) Project Management Capability

g) WebApp or mobile application

OSS

a) User Administration and licensing model for the tools

b) Integration capabilities to 3rd party platforms

c) Incident handling and escalation matrix - SLAs

This EOI is intended to lead to the identification of suppliers that can demonstrate having sufficient capability to provide such a platform in the best possible way and in a manner that enables Safaricom meet its expectations. The identified suppliers will be invited for a competitive tendering process from which the suppliers to be engaged will be identified.

 Requirements for the bidders

Interested suppliers are requested to submit the following documentation as part of their response to this Expression of Interest (EOI):

1. Brief company profile detailing general experience in supplying Fiber Network Planning, Inventory Management and Monitoring Solutions. Include Name, version (if any) and OEM of the solution.

2. A List of past and ongoing projects (not more than 5 years)

3. Audited financial statements for the last three (3) years.

 4. Relevant licenses and certifications including ISO certification, Business permits, Operating license from the main Vendor in case you don’t own the tool.

5. Contact details including location of company’s physical premises and contact person (e-mail and cellphone).

6. List of five (5) clients whom the company has provided similar solution(s) with reference contact details. This should include a brief description of deliverables/project scope and reference letters (where possible) from the clients served in the last five (5) years.

7. Any additional information that supports your capabilities in this scope.
