WE ARE HIRING: ACCESS TO FINANCE PROJECT COORDINATOR

Invest in Africa -Kenya is seeking a qualified and a result -oriented professional to fill the post of“Access to Finance Coordinator”.In this capacity, you will contribute to the performance of the access to finance the project under the SME Resilience and Recovery Project as a key member of the team and report to the Access to Finance Manager while working to support a team of consultants in the day-to-day delivery of the project. We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader with excellent planning and organization skills to deliver results in a multi-stakeholder environment.

Role:

•Acting as the focal point for SME Access to finance project activities including mobilization of SMEs to be enrolled for the project.

•Implementation of the SME Investment Readiness Program and providing technical input on how to support suitable SME for accessing finance from banks and investors.

•Continually building on local knowledge and providing input into the development and management ofSME Finance interventions

•Building an extensive network across the wider Kenya SME Finance sector to maintain an up-to-date understanding of the SME Finance landscape, with both private and public sectors

•Organizing workshops and seminars for finance activities and sharing learning with the wider IIA team.

•Provision of progress reports as required by management and monitoring of SME finance activities.

•Develop partnerships with other financial intermediaries (IIA banks and non-banks) to strengthen financing arrangements for SMEs, to develop training/technical support for SMEs

Qualifications

•At least a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, and an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a related field, Possession ofproject management qualifications will be an added advantage.

•3 to 5 years’ experience facilitating finance for SMEs is essential.

•A minimum of 3 years of business advisory experience.

•Experience in general credit delivery, loan portfolio management, and loan classifications are desired.

•Experience reviewing and implementing new processes and financial controls are essential.

•Ability to work independently, confident in your ability to provide strategic recommendations

•Hands-on knowledge of project management is an added advantage.
